One of our best known members, celebrated his 90th birthday in April this year. Bill has been a very hands on member holding many positions on the club committee, and although he is slowing down a little, he still manages to find time to get involved in the clubs activity’s in some shape or form.
ANZAC Day is a day of National Commemoration when we pause to remember Australia’s servicemen and women and this year both Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads saw a large turnout by the public, even with the not so favourable weather.

Reg Guest has been a member of OG RSL for many years, and early this year, moved to Nagambie to be closer to his daughter and her family.
On Sunday 29th May, 15 members from Ocean Grove RSL’s travelled in a mini bus to Nagambie, to help him celebrate his 90th birthday – a marvellous achievement on his part!
ANZAC Day is already a day of national commemoration when we pause to remember Australia’s servicemen and women and this year Ocean Grove saw a large turnout by the public, to both the Dawn service and the 11am commemorative service.
A Lone Pine has been added to the many trees and shrubs in the Avenue of Honour, along the Rail Trial on the Bellarine Peninsula that are dedicated to the past service members of Ocean Grove RSL sub branch, and cared for by The Friends of the Rail Trail volunteers, and members of the sub branch.
In February 2011, the RSL participated in the Ocean Grove Community Event Committee’s ‘Picnic in the Park’ – a showcase of community and commercial organisations.
