Dawn Service – Ocean Grove Park 06:00 am Assembly – Piper Call to Arms 06:15am

Barwon Heads ANZAC Day Service – March Assembly at 08:30am on the corner of Hitchcock Ave and Bridge Road; step off at 0845am. The Service at the Barwon Heads Memorial Hall commences at 09:00am.

Ocean Grove ANZAC Day Service – March Assembly at 09:30am in from of the Commonwealth Bank in The Terrace; step off at 09:45am. The Service in Ocean Grove Park commences at 10:00am.

The Ocean Grove RSL Bowling team came home Section Winners in the Edinburgh Shield April Carnival at Yarrawonga….. “WELL DONE BOYS”

Ocean Grove Barwon Heads RSL Sub Branch will be conducting ANZAC Day commemoration services at the Cenotaph Ocean Grove and Cenotaph Barwon Heads.
Dawn Service
When:       Tuesday 25^th April 2023 6.00am Assembly, Piper Call to Arms 6.15am.
Where:      The “Ocean Grove Park” Cenotaph, The Avenue, Ocean Grove.
Commemoration Dawn Service and wreath laying will be conducted by Ocean Grove Barwon Heads RSL Sub Branch. Dawn Service will include Piper and Bugler.Tea & light breakfast will be provided at old fire station building, corner of Hodgson St. and The Avenue at the conclusion of the service, thanks to Rotary Ocean Grove and the RSL members.
Barwon Heads March and Service

Service:  9.00am Tuesday 25^th April, Barwon Heads Community Hall, Hitchcock Ave .
March:      8.30am Assembly, Step off 8.45am sharp for Service 9.00am.
The March participants  
 are to form up at 8.30am on the Cnr of Hitchcock Ave and Bridge St. Barwon Heads.  
 At 8.45am sharp the March will step off and proceed down Hitchcock Ave to the
 Cenotaph at the Barwon Heads Community Hall. The March will be accompanied by the
 Geelong RSL Pipes and Drums.The service will be led by the Secretary of Ocean Grove Barwon Heads RSL Sub-branch Mr. Tom Hudson and the hymns led by the Barwon Heads Choral. The laying of wreaths will be led by the Secretary along with Federal, State and Local Government representatives. All are then welcome to stay for refreshments.

The laying of wreaths will be lead by the Vice President along with Federal, State and Local Government representatives.

Each year, volunteers from the Ocean Grove Barwon heads RSL Sub-Branch sell Remembrance Day Appeal Poppies in the Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads Precincts prior to Remembrance Day on the 11th November. This year 2022 we will be selling from 4^th Nov through to 10^th November and also on the day. Selling stations in:

                       – Market place

A small group of veterans, members and locals met at the Barwon Heads Memorial on 18th August to join in a wreath laying ceremony to remember those that lost their lives and those that served in Vietnam 1962 – 1975.
